Volunteer Information

Who can become a volunteer?

If you are over the age of 18, are a citizen of the United States and  have a valid Missouri drivers license you can apply for the position of volunteer firefighter.

 

Why become a volunteer firefighter?

Here are two prominent reasons for becoming a volunteer firefighter.  Becoming a volunteer firefighter is one of many ways in which you can give back to the community in which you live.  If you have ever considered choosing the fire service as a career choice becoming a volunteer firefighter is a step in the right direction.

 

Requirements?

There is a Physical Agility Test and an oral interview with a minimum three panel board.  Possessing a Firefighter I and Firefighter II certificate and possessing the Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operational level certificates through the State of Missouri  are necessary.  Possessing an EMT license through the state of Missouri is not necessary but is encouraged.
